Small Group Training in Chicago

Coached workouts in a small, capped group at our private Chicago studio. Enough people for energy, few enough that the coach knows your name, your level and your squat depth. This is group fitness without the anonymity.

  • Small capped groups, never a lost-in-the-crowd class
  • Coach scales every exercise to each person in the room
  • Community that notices when you show up, and when you do not

Who It Is For

Group Energy, Personal Attention

The middle path between solo training and big box classes.

Social Trainers

You work harder with people around, and the friendships that start in these groups are half the reason people stay for years.

Budget-Conscious Consistents

Coached training at a class price point. You give up some individual programming, you keep the coach and the accountability.

Big Box Class Refugees

Thirty strangers and a mic-ed up instructor is not coaching. A capped group with a coach on the floor is.

Purpose & Approach

The Thinking Behind Small Group Training

Small group training is built on a simple trade: share the coach with a handful of people, keep almost all the coaching value, and gain the energy and community that solo training never has. The cap on group size is the whole product.

It assumes people stay consistent when two things are true: someone expects them, and the work fits them. Reserved spots handle the first, a coach who scales every exercise per person handles the second.

The principles behind it:

  • Groups capped so the coach coaches, not performs
  • Every movement scaled per person, every class
  • Reserved spots: your place in the room has your name on it
  • Full-body programming that builds week over week
What to Expect

How Small Group Training Runs

1

Join From the Schedule

Pick times that fit your week from the class schedule and reserve your spot. Groups stay small on purpose.

2

Coached Full-Body Work

Strength and conditioning blocks planned by the coach, with loads and versions adjusted per person as the hour unfolds.

3

Progress in Company

Regulars progress together, and the coach tracks the room. Consistency comes easier when your group expects you.

What You Get Out of It

What the Group Gives You

Coaching at Class Price

A certified coach on the floor correcting your form, at a fraction of private session cost.

Community That Retains

The people you train with become the reason you keep coming. Years-long members almost always started this way.

Energy on Tap

A room working hard pulls you along on the days your own battery is flat.

Structure Without Thinking

Programming is handled. You just book, show up and work.

Which Format Fits You

Small Group or Semi-Private?

Small group training means joining a coached class from the schedule and meeting people, the easiest way to add community to your training week.

Have your own three? The semi-private (3-on-1) format gives your trio its own coach and time slot with individual programming. Want the energy even hotter? Try boot camp . Reserve spots through the class schedule .

“What started as a three-month grind to get wedding-ready turned into a lifestyle, because this gym isn’t just about exercise, it’s a community. The trainers (we exercise with Tom, Jude and Bart) are absolute pros.”

FAQ

Good Questions, Straight Answers

How small is a small group?

Small enough that the coach coaches everyone by name and adjusts work per person. Classes are capped and spots are reserved in advance.

Will I keep up with the regulars?

Yes. Every exercise has scaled versions and the coach sets your level on day one. Regulars were beginners here too.

Is this the same as semi-private training?

No. Here you join an existing group from the schedule. Semi-private means bringing your own group of three with its own coached sessions .

Can small group training replace personal training?

It can be your whole plan or a companion to it. Many clients mix 1-on-1 sessions with group classes for volume and fun.
