Personal Training | Northwest Chicago
Partner (2-on-1) Personal Training
Train with your spouse, friend or workout partner and share one certified coach. Two people, individual coaching cues, one booked session at our private Chicago studio, and a cost per person that makes personal training easier to commit to.
- One coach, two clients, attention split by design, not by accident
- Each of you works at your own level, even in the same session
- Built-in accountability: skipping is harder when someone waits for you

Who It Is For
Better Together, Coached Properly
The format for pairs who want personal coaching without the solo price tag.
Couples
Same appointment, same habit, different programs. The coach scales every exercise to each of you separately, so different fitness levels are not a problem.
Friends Who Keep Each Other Honest
A standing session with a friend is the strongest anti-skip system ever invented. You push each other, the coach pushes both of you.
Parents and Teens
A shared session works across generations, and the team includes a coach certified in youth training. Ask about it at the consultation.
Purpose & Approach
Why Training as a Pair Works
Partner training exists because the two biggest predictors of fitness success are coaching and consistency, and a pair covers both. The coach supplies the plan and the feedback, your partner supplies the reason you never skip.
The format assumes two people can share an hour without sharing a program. Each of you has your own weights, your own progressions and your own goal, while the coach alternates attention through the session so nobody stands around waiting.
The principles behind it:
- Two individual programs running inside one booked hour
- Coaching cues split by design: one works, one gets corrected
- Shared cost per person, undiluted coaching quality
- A partner who notices when you try to skip leg day
What to Expect
How a 2-on-1 Session Works
1
Two Plans, One Hour
The coach prepares work for both of you in advance. Same session, but your weights, progressions and modifications stay individual.
2
Alternating Attention
While one of you works a set, the coach cues the other. The rhythm keeps both of you moving and both of you coached.
3
Shared Momentum
You progress as individuals but win as a team. Pairs tend to show up more consistently, and consistency is what changes bodies.
What You Get Out of It
What a Pair Gets From 2-on-1
Built-In Consistency
Pairs show up more, period. The standing appointment with a partner is the strongest habit anchor in fitness.
Personal Coaching, Shared Cost
You split the session cost while both getting individual programming and correction from a certified coach.
A Shared Project
Couples and friends report the same thing: training together gives you something to build, compare and laugh about all week.
Levels Do Not Matter
A beginner and a veteran can share the hour, because the coach scales every exercise per person.
Which Format Fits You
2-on-1, 1-on-1 or Semi-Private?
Choose partner training when you already have your plus-one and you both want coaching. You get most of the benefits of private training, keep each other accountable and split the attention of one certified coach.
Want the full hour to yourself? That is 1-on-1 personal training . Have a third person? The semi-private (3-on-1) format takes your trio. No partner at all? Meet people in our coached small group classes .

FAQ
Good Questions, Straight Answers
Do we need to be at the same fitness level?
No. The coach programs for each of you separately, so a beginner and an experienced partner can share the same session comfortably.
Can we have different goals?
Yes. One of you can chase weight loss while the other builds strength. Programs are individual, only the appointment is shared.
What if my partner cancels or quits?
Talk to your coach. Sessions can continue as 1-on-1 training or we help you find the format that keeps you moving.
Is partner training cheaper than 1-on-1?
Per person, yes, because two people share one coached session. For current options visit the pricing page or ask at your consultation.
