Bart's Bio
Sports and physical activity have always been a major part of my life, and to this day I still find themas exhilarating now as I did when I was a kid. This was the foundation and motivation that lead me to become a personal trainer. I wanted to share my passion for sports and physical activity with others in hope that I could inspire them on their health and fitness journeys.
I began my personal training career at two of the biggest fitness and health corporations in the country, X-Sport fitness for one year followed by eight years at Bally’s Total Fitness. After gaining significant experience working for big box gyms for nine years, I chose to take a different path that would give me the freedom to provide a more tailored health and fitness experience. In 2014, along with my business partner at that time, established Tone Up Club, a private fitness studio. This opportunity gave me the freedom I was craving so I could customize individual fitness programs for my clients and design exhilarating classes for our members. All while providing exemplary customer service which I believe is essential to run a successful business.
The year of 2020 and the pandemic we faced prompted me, as well as many others, to reflect on their lives. I decided that the time had come to blaze another new trail and open my very own fitness studio. I decided to open Tone Up 2 Fitness because I enjoy helping people and I want to take my 19 years of experience and continue to help others achieve their health and fitness goals and dreams!I find that a positive attitude and sense of humor go a long way in creating lasting relationships with my clients. Ultimately, this helps me to teach them that both exercising and healthy food habits can positively impact their lives in tremendous ways!

Gosia's Bio
The journey to being healthy and fit is never linear. As a kid I always gravitated towards sports. Playing volleyball and soccer all through high school helped keep my athletic dreams alive, but as we all know life happens.
I have realized the tremendous and positive impact of having someone in your corner pushing you past the chaos of everyday. Someone like a personal trainer, who along with a community of people, helps you realize your goals and gets you back in the driver’s seat of a better and healthier you. This is exactly what set forth a trajectory for me to reach for a better version of myself and have the courage to do what I always knew I loved. I spent the last 3 years rotating through boot camp classes, individual and group strengthand endurance trainings, with a focus on strength building and executing proper form to maximize results and avoid injury.
I realized how important both mental health and physical health is for your quality of life. Therefore, after graduating from University of Illinois (UIC) with a bachelor’s degree in Managerial Studies and a Minor in Psychology, followed by 15 years in big box retail; in 2020 I received my CPR/AED Certification with the American Red Cross, as well as my Certified Personal Trainer Certificate with the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).
I strongly believe in the power of sharing my own struggles and success stories in the most authentic way as means to inspire others to see beyond their reflection simply because you are never “too old for this” and yes you are enough!
Tom's Bio
I have always had a love for physical fitness from my days of doing pull-ups on the tree branches in my backyard and bicep curls with gallons of milk from my fridge. However, I started on my career path working as a mechanic. While I enjoyed working on cars, I did not go home feeling fulfilled.
I realized what I really wanted to do was help train people to meet their fitness goals and become their best self. SoI decided to pursue my passion and I obtained my International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA) certification in April 2019, and the following spring I also got my ISSA certificate in Youth Training.
You will find that I am a caring, dedicated, passionate, and strong trainer. Whether you want to work on weight loss, toning a particular part of your body, or you just want a good sweat, my mission is to get you on the right path and help you conquer your fitness goals! I look forward to working with you soon!
